Playground Project  On Chinook Avenue in Oceanside across from Hillcrest sits an unused playground. This playground was built by the VanBruggens before the mid-80s. Many local and visiting children have laughed as they climbed the monkey bars, forded the bridge, swung on the tire swing, and seesawed. They have also enjoyed the annual Easter egg hunt that takes place in this playground. Until recently.The equipment is sufficiently in disrepair that concern for the safety of those using it necessitated closing the playground. OPS and the owner of the playground would like to hear the children's laughter again. They are working together to make this a reality. Watch this space for how you may be able to help. |
